Question 8n8 in docker: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Hello,

I've installed the Docker Extension, and within Docker I have the n8nio/n8n:latest container. I install it, start it, open host 32769 in the Firewall, and when I access the public URL of the Plesk server with that host, I get the following error: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.

Another thing I can't do is configure a custom subdomain for this domain, as it doesn't appear in the proxy rules for that subdomain.

Can you help me get n8n working, please?

He instalado Docker Extension, y dentro de Docker tengo el contenedor n8nio/n8n:latest. Lo instalo, lo inicio, abro el puesto 32769 en el Firewall, y cuando entro en la URL publica del servidor Plesk con ese puesto, me dice el siguiente error: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.

Otra cosa que no puedo hacer es configurar un subdominio personalizado para este dominio, ya que no me aparece en reglas de proxy de ese subdominio.

¿Me podéis ayudar a dejar funcionar n8n, por favor?

Make sure you are actually exposing the ports for your container. Also looks like few weeks ago someone released an article that shows you how to do this properly which you can see over at https://blogs.reliablepenguin.com/2025/09/03/deploy-n8n-on-plesk-with-docker-compose-systemd-ngin

But can't you do it from the graphical interface? I've seen several videos on YouTube showing that 4 clicks are working in Plesk.

Pero no se puede hacer desde la interfaz grafica? He visto varios videos en youtube, que con 4 click esta funcionando n8n en plesk.

so then you should be able to add proxy rules for the domain

Yes. And I added them from the subdomain. Also enabling websocket traffic.

In the subdomain preview you can see: error 502 nginx

I've got it working now. I've added some session variables, but I don't know if that fixes the problem. Accessing directly through port 443 works (https). The problem now is that I can't send emails from n8n. For example, I haven't received the license activation confirmation, and when I send invitations to users, it doesn't work either.

It seems the problems are with n8n, not Plesk. Could you set up n8n locally to see if everything behaves as intended?
