Question About Almalinux 8 Disk Partition

Hi, we have installed Almalinux 8 Plesk Panel server for a client. In disk partitioning, there is almalinux/root (48GB) plus almalinux/home (22GB). Can we remove the home partition and add it to the root partition? Or does this cause problems with the server?

From Plesk side, the /home path is not used. Other components of the system might use it, but it is not very likely that this is used for anything critical.

I would do exactly what you said. I'd do like a 1GB boot, 8GB SWAP, rest in /, no home.

Edit; these directions mention CentOS7 but it's exactly what you're looking to do and identical in Alma. Check home though first, if it's empty - skip step 1, 7, and 8. Resize root partition (or how to remove the default /home partition) on CentOS 7 online
