New Pleskian
Server operating system version
AlmaLinux 9.3
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59
hi
i just wanna know if the mariadb upgrade tool from plesk UI now is stable with the Plesk Obsidian 18.0.59 or still a beta version
regards.

It is currently considered beta and some feedback from the beta stage is still being integrated into the tool. As far as I know the production version of the tool will become available in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.60, which will probably be published in the first half of April.

Hi, I cannot find the mariadb upgrade tool anymore (Obsidian 18.0.61, / AlmaLinux 8.10). Was I too late to upgrade, will it come back as release candidate?
Regards

We've paused the roll out of the mariadb upgrade feature because we identified a couple of issues that could cause problems when upgrading. More information can be read here. We are working on improving the mariadb upgrade feature and will resume the roll out once finished so it becomes available to all servers.

What is the status of the upgrade tool as of today? Can it be considered stable, or are there still some problems? I have a client who has a machine with Ubuntu 20.04 x86_64 and MariaDB still behind version 10.3.39. Plesk version is 18.0.64
I would certainly take a snapshot of the server, but knowing that I was launching an unstable tool would not give me much confidence in the success of the operation. What do you say, can I use it?

What were the issues? I just updated a handful of systems last week and it went smooth. Ubuntu 22.04 Plesk 18.0.65. Did take some pre upgrade errors on a CentOS7 machine, but was going to go back and research later. Each system upgraded had between 80-200 databases, and upgraded from 10.5 or 10.6 to 10.11.10.

Is there something I should be looking for that may have gone wrong?
