  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Add-on programs? Which SCRIPT INSTALLER?

Hi All:

This is actually about Plesk v.7.5 AND v.8, as I do not believe there are updates for v.8 out yet.

"Application Vault" comes with about 33 scripts.

Which other INSTALLER SCRIPT à la Fantastico can you guys suggest?

I found these, so far:

(1) CPSkins:
http://www.cpskins.com/psainstaller.php
...seems to have lots of scripts that are already installed via Application Vault .. so what's the sense of having them in both?

(2) Installatron :

We already use them for DirectAdmin, works great. How about Plesk?

(3) 4PSA:

Regular poster on this board ... don't doubt their quality, but seems a little expensive.

Please share your opinion and experience ...e.g. with how these have dealt in teh past if there was a major Plesk upgrade, as we just see now. Thanks.

John

I have used 1 and 3, I think 3 is technical more advanced (own save mode handling). Biggest problem I think is that they both are not always uptodate.

let me try again :) the vault applications of these programs are not always up to date.
