  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Add subdomains as an alias to main domain

Olive

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Debian 11
Plesk version and microupdate number
Plesk Obsidian 18.0.58
I want to add a domain alias.example as an alias to the main domain main.example.
And add subdomains of alias.example (sub.alias.example) as an alias for main.example

This setup i need for our joomla multisite.
I cannot add the subdomain, the alias.example is not in the dropdown list.

It worked before on a vesta panel, but don't remember anymore.
I am on a plesk reseller

Any idea?

Nothing speaks against creating an alias with for example sub.alias.domain.test or any other such names. You can simply click the "Add Domain Alias" button and enter the desired string.

You are right it works.
I thought it was only possible when also the maindomain of the sub was set as an alias.

I am glad.

Thank you.
