adding an SPF record

I have an old Windows 2003 server still running Plesk 6.5

SPF records aren't supported via the admin area

Can I add the SPF txt record manually by going into the file in Plesk/DNS/VAR

The one domain using SmarterMail (and the only domain using an email server on this server) is having email issues sending emails to gmail accounts
