• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi all,

When i try to access the admin control panel via https://domain:8443 it keeps prompting me for a username and password.
How do i resolve this issue because Google couldn't return anything.

Thanks,
Lee

I can't access the login page of plesk because i get an authentication box asking me for username and password. The authentication box is similar to password protected directory.

Thanks,
Lee

The only way I can log into the control panel is connecting to the Windows Server via RDP.
Launching Internet Explorer and go to https://ip.address:8443
Once there I’m prompt with the authentication box, which will only accept the server administrator username and password.
After inputting the credentials I can you the control panel not very convenient.

Any advice would be really helpful.

Thanks,
Lee

It sounds like improper permissions (such as "Directory Security") could be applied to the Plesk site. I'd recommend to check your IIS configuration on that particular site (Properties -> Directory Security) to make sure that you haven't setup additional authentication.
