  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hi there!

Some time ago I upgraded to Panel 11.5. Since then I have this problem with qmail:

--------------------------------------------------------------
PRODUCT, VERSION, MICROUPDATE, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE
Plesk Panel, 11.5.30, Linux

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
Every time the auto updater installs an update for Plesk Panel or i do install an update "manually" the mailserver qmail does not work. It seems fine, qmail is running etc. but it does not respond to anything.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
install an upgrade

ACTUAL RESULT
qmail insn't responding

EXPECTED RESULT
qmail is responding

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Typing "sudo service xinetd restart" fixes the problem.
Restarting QMail via Plesk Panel does NOT solve the problem. The panel shows QMail is running fine.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Has anyone experienced this issue?

TJ

Hi,

I can confirm this behavior.
However I have it related to proftpd.

The cause does not seem Plesk related.
It's a Debian/Ubuntu issue from what I have seen so far.
However I have not found any way to fix this issue yet.

Regards,
Kristian
