• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Allow access to file sharing only

Fred Tep

New Pleskian
Hello,

I've been asked to set up a shared folder by one of my client who's already got a website on my server with plesk onyx.
I'm working with the web admin edition.

What I thought was to allow my user to Upload and manage files so I ve change the Application User Role.
It's working just fine but if I do that my users have also access to the files manager. I don't want them to access it as a I see it as a security threat. They could erase any httpdocs file by mistake (yeah some of them are not really computer friendly...)

Has anyone a suggestion on how I can manage that ?
