alternative username for pop3 login

Hello,
i wish to permit pop3 client to login with the username in this format:
username#domain.com
but now i can only use "@" (or nothing).
It's possible to do it?
I'have Ples 7.5 Reloaded, qmail, courier-imap.
The authentication method in etc/courier-imap/pop3d is:
AUTHMODULES="authpsa"
