• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

hello users,
On Plesk 9.5 VPS, I am allocated 1 IP from my provider which was exclusive initially but i converted it to shared IP.

I created a default domain, say www.mydomain.com and setup its DNS the following way to create my own nameservers. Please see below

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I am wondering if I have done it right?
If after this, i go to domain registrar and in nameservers write

Primary Nameserver: ns1.mydomain.com
Secondry Nameserver: ns2.mydomain.com

Will it be ok?

Second important thing i need to ask is, these records have been made while it says,

This server acts as a primary nameserver for the DNS zone mydomain.com

If i switch DNS zone to slave, it says

This server acts as a secondary nameserver for the DNS zone mydomain.com
In this zone service, there is no DNS record...

Do i have to make any record here?

I am not clear about these master/ slave zone services. I will be very very thankful to you guys if you can explain about this? I am not very technical about VPS and DNS things, so please please please try to keep it in a bit simple terminology.

I will be greatful for your help.

Thanks.
Muneeb
