Antispam Alternative

I have just moved from cpanel to plesk (not by choice) but due to requiring a vps solution.

However, the VPS package does not provide any spam filtering. Im not sure 100% how mail has been set up on this ubuntu vps but i think qmail? Not sure how to find out really. Im new to linux , usually a windows user as its usally easier has windows has GUI's.

Anyway - Plesk does not come with spamassassin and looking through various posts on the web it looks very complicated.
I dont want to break my server as I have domains hosted on it now but spam - i get about 100 a day to my account alone.

What should i do?
I cant buy the plesk addon as its my hosts license not mine.
Is there an easy linux spam quide for ubuntu.

What are other people using?
Any help appreciated.

why not ask your hosting company for spamfiltering ? (or change the hosting company to one with spamfilter)

because they charge for it......
Im not changing hosts as Ive just moved to this one (PIPEX) tier-1 host.

so anyone else got a real response to my question?

Plesk does come with spamassassin, but someone might not have installed it.

I also maintain an archive of add-ons for PSA that address anti-spam/anti-virus (among a ton of other things). Ubuntu isn't supported, but maybe someone here can adapt my packages for that platform for you.

spamassassin can be installed however if you want to use it, i believe you need the control panel add-on which is 50usd however i cannot buy it as i dont own the plesk license, the isp/host does
