  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved Apache - arbitrary stop

DmitriyK

Basic Pleskian
‪Debian 8.8‬ Plesk Onyx 17.8.2

Apache stops at night without any intervention (23/07/2017)
I assume that this happens after the automatic installation of Plesk updates

Hi DmitriyK,

could you provide more details? Depending - log - entries ( apache + logs from "/var/log/plesk" ) to investigate possible issues/errors/problems?

Solution from technical support Plesk:

psa-mod-fcgid-configurator must be at least version libapache2-mod-fcgid-psa_2.3.9.4 (If less - you need to install a patch or update the system)

1. Switch the Apache mode from "mpm_event" to "mpm_prefork" in Pelsk> Tools and Settings> Apache Web server;
2. Increase the value of the "Apache restart interval" to 60 seconds in Pelsk> Tools and Settings> Apache Web server;
3. Replace "/etc/init.d/apache2 reload" with "/etc/init.d/apache2 restart" in the /etc/logrotate.d/apache2 file.

And then Apache it will not shut down when you update Plesk
