Apache Webserver doesn't start after upgrade

PietroV

Basic Pleskian
Hi!

OS: OpenSuSE 11.4
Plesk: 11.0.9 Update #4

After upgrad from the latest plesk 10 to 11.0.9 #4, Apache webserver doesn't work anymore.

Errormessage:
Due to a error in the configuration-templates there couldn't creat new configuration files for the apache webserver: httpd2: Syntax error on line 116 of /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 24 of /etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf: Cannot load /usr/lib64/apache2-prefork/mod_negotiation.so into server: /usr/lib64/apache2-prefork/mod_negotiation.so: undefined symbol: ap_set_accept_ranges .

I tried to recreat all configuration files new, but the error still exist.

I only get this error message:
Configuration of webserver is not possible: Execution failed. Command: httpdmng Arguments: Array ( [0] => --reconfigure-all ) Details: Empty error message from utility.

Somebody an idea? Igor?

Thank you!

Best wishes
Pietro

First I would disable that module by editing the file:

/etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf

And then repair my vhosts...if all goes well then try again reinstalling that module.

Hi abdi!

Thanks for your suggestion. It was because the machine was OpenSuSE 11.4 and the last update wasn't made. so we updated openSuSe, and within the update it install also the new lib etc. for apache. Then, when 11.4 is updated, we had only to recreat all configuration files (which we have done by click on the error message in plesk). Since then, apache work without a problem.

@mod:
You can close this thread and mark it as solved. Thank you!
