Resolved Archive or log: What was when installed?

Thank you @Peter Debik. I made my question not correct enough. I meant all installation, also 3rd party for Ubuntu. The one you showed me I know and is correct with only one "warning" to german locale should set to "C".
I will tell you why I ask. Today I looked in many logs I never looked before. And I saw this strange /var/log/dpkg.log.1
starting on 1st of August. Always the same. Half -configured and half-installed packages.
Now, for the reason that I have no real errors since long time, except email (horde, dovecot with certificates and mismatching server names).
perhaps it's a normal output during installations. Therefor I wanted to be sure and compare it to logs specific for the installed software, eg traceroute.( in the last box)
In Ubuntuforums someone said this is not good, but i'm not sure, it was an older thread.

AGAIN, I want to point out, that you should use the forum:


... for NON-Plesk - related topics. This Plesk Community should not be misused with operating system related topics and questions / discussions / issues / problems with apt/aptitude/dpkg on Ubuntu/Debian based systems is out of the Plesk scope.
