  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

ASP support is not working

Hi,

We have a machine with Windows 2003/IIS 6 and Plesk 9. ASP is installed, but Plesk says it isn't.
If I choose "Web Hosting Settings" from any of the configured domains, the ASP checkbox is grey and the text "(The component was not installed)" appears next to the checkbox.

I am able to use asp by simply adding the asp application extention myself, but off course I should be able to do this from Plesk.

Is there a know problem with Plesk 9 and ASP? Any idea how to fix this?

Michel

Did you try the PSA reconfigurator tool, or in add/remove programs for psa to reinstall components?

I have seen issues with IIS (not plesk though) where asp and .net support are not really setup correctly in IIS when it is installed after IIS is installed, perhaps there is some sort of chicken and egg going on here as well in which a reinstall of the plesk components would be helpful
