• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Attaching a domain template

We are migrating a lot of DNS BIND data from a MS DNS server. Is it possible to use a Plesk domain template so that the imported DNS domains pick up Limits and hosting configuration etc? At the moment hundreds of records are imported and we then have to manually configure physical hosting etc for each.

Hello!

What do you mean writing "migrate DNS BIND data from MS DNS server"?

Thanks.

We were sent a lot of DNS BIND files to import into Plesk, so in order to use the migration tool I had to import the files into an active DNS server first, (a Microsoft DNS server). So basically I am importing DNS data from a Microsoft DNS server. Sorry for the confusion.
I just need the imported domains to use an existing Plesk Domain template.

Thanks

As I understand, you use DNS migration to import BIND files to Plesk.

Unfortunately, DNS has no business model, so Migration manager will create domains without hosting and mail services with default properties( all unlimited ).

But you could use Plesk group operation to change settings on these imported domains.

Thank you.
