autoinstaller 8.3 - 8.4

I installed a fresh install of 8.3 and used auto installer. We have a server running with 8.3 and wanted to test the upgradability of it. So I then ran the auto installer again on the fresh install and chose too upgrade too 8.4. Everything installed fine... yay... not really. I went too the control panel and it still shows 8.3. I used auto installer again 2nd time and went through fine and still shows 8.3...

Any ideas... what gives?
