AWStats 401 errors

I have searched the forums and found a few people having this problem but nobody from SWSoft has posted a solution. It is obviously (another) permissions problem.

If anybody on my server logs onto their AWStats they get the latest info. Trying to view say the previous months stats generates a login dialog which won't accept any logins.

Plesk 7.6.1

Anybody any ideas? Please?
