Resolved Awstats error refused connetion

WiseWill

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.55
When I first logged in Awstats I got the following error.

This is the placeholder for Web statistics. If you see this page, that means that statistics for your server was not gathered yet, or bandwidth was not used. Statistics is typically set to run once every 24 hours. If you do not see a change to this page in the next 24 hours contact your server administrator for assistance.

Then when I logged in at a later time Awstats would not connect and gave me an error of connection refused, and when I looked in my logs I found.

2023-09-17 09:43:16Error255.255.255.255AH01618: user executiveassistant not found: /plesk-stat/webstat-ssl/Apache error

I changed my IP address to 255.255.255.255

I have no user named executiveassistant. I have it to use the ftp login and password which is not even close to that. I followed the directions at https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/...t-Access-is-denied-due-to-invalid-credentials

I added the user executiveassistant and now I get connection refused with the following error.

I changed my IP address to 255.255.255.255. I don't know why 147.182.176.62 is showing up in the logs.

Hi,
Check if user executiveassistant exists on FTP page for the domain,
verify that the new user you created in protected directories and FTP user have the same password

Additionally, go to Hosting & DNS tab > Hosting, on this page disable checkbox for "Protect access to your web statistics with your FTP username and password", save changes and then enable it back and save changes.

I tried all of that, and none of that worked. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Awstats. It seems it might be a symlink protection issue from what I have read. I tried going to the url directly, and not clicking it in Plesk. When I put the url in the address bar it comes up with no problem. The url I used is https://www.domainname.com/plesk-stat/webstat-ssl/current/index.html. It seems like I will just need to not click it in Plesk, and just go to the url directly.

Thank you very much for helping me, I really appreciate it.
