Since I upgraded to Plesk 8.3, AWStats is NOT showing previous months stats, I've had 8.3 installed since December but the dropdown menu in AWStats only shows 2008-02 ??? Any possible solutions would be appreciated.

I have the same problem but only with one account. The others hasn't this problem...
[I didn't found any important difference between conf files of different accounts]

I think when I updated to Plesk 8.3 the option 'Retain Web and traffic statistics for XXX months' was switched off, which I didn't realise, I switched it on now and set a value in the months text box, so I'm hoping that's all that was wrong ........

I hope that this will solve your problem but this is not my case because I have it at 12 months and I have the problem only in one account... Spanish law requires saving files logs for 12 months, then I have this option and rotation logs for all domains to 12 months
:(

Hi.

There are already 4 Threads now concerning this topic but noone has come up with a solution.

It seems, that there are 2 problems:
1. Awstats doesn't show the results of a previous month
2. The results of the last day in a month are too low

I found a solution for the first problem at:
http://www.europheus.com/?p=67

For the second one I have no idea, since rebuilding all statistics didn't help. When I switched back to webalizer the stats were correct. I think I will stick with webalizer since awstats is too much trouble ;)

Thanks Maldonado!
The proceure explained at
http://www.europheus.com/?p=67 generates the previous months (I had the awstats txt files saved since 2007-01 and all was easy because I didn't need to decompress the logs files). But the command
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics
erases the last month (not precious months, only the last month and only for one account)...

I shall investigate...

:(

What a suprise

Hmmf, Why am I not suprised that this implementation of AWStats is awful! After much hacking I have got it to work for previous months/years. Thanks to Europheus for his scripts:
http://www.europheus.com/?p=67
And thanks to Nick for his modified version:
http://nickforsale.com/fixstats/
(sorry guys we still had to modify it slightly, not sure why the script rm'd all the txt files before they could be processed?)

cheers

I lost all hostorical data files for AWStats when I did the 8.3 update it defaulted all domains to OFF for retain web and traffic statistics, is there a backup of these files stored anywhere that I can recover?

energylevel are you sure the datafiles havent just been moved to the 2008-02 folder?

I updated to 8.3 late December, but didn't realise the extend of the problems with AWStats untill Feb, so my oldest server backup is late Jan !!

Hi..
I have the same problem, but my problem is with webalizer. They didn't work after last December 2007, and it happened to one account/domain, the others seems going well. Can somebody tell me what's wrong with it, how to fix it?
