• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Back up

I initiated a backup of one of my websites today at 5:30PM. I backed up to an ftp site. I received my email that the backup had started. The ftp has the backup file. It is now 9:30PM and my Plesk still says that "the domain is temporarily turned off for backup..."

I'm I locked up or does it usually take this long? I'm sure there's more involved than just copying the files but the site is only about 800K, surely it doesn't take that long to back up does it?

Thanks.

I can say the sheduled backups are crashing my complete server. We have a dailly shedule backup for several domains and since 2 days ago the server crashes completely.

its only when backup is sheduled for a client.

I received an error last night at 11:30 saying the backup failed. I didn't get the backup but at least my domain is turned back on.
