What are some current solutions for having a "hot-spare" or standby backup server for plesk?

I am looking at purchasing a backup server for this reason but am not sure if there is a preferred software solution or just keeping a backup of the filesystem that would let me failover to my backup server if the main were to die.

Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions on this?
