Hi,

After upgrading to Plesk 8.4 I get a backup error, but I do all backups automatic through Plesk backup.

Failed to connect to database: User admin already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections

Has anyone else had that problem, does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Hi I have got the same problem.

after upgrading to 8.4 windows we have started getting the following error (which comes with an e-mail) while running the plesk backup as a scheduled task.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Backup error.
Failed to connect to database: User admin already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections
-----------------------------------------------------------
We have set the max_user_connections to 100 but the error still continues.Looks like the backup is trying to do abnormal number of connections in backup prosedure. You may login to server and try running the scheduled task in plesk panel by changing the mail address to be notified. We do not have support service but this looks like a bug in 8.4

Have you tried running the backup from RDM?

Same here, all backups failed:

Looking at Repository gives:

=====================================
Doing a manual backupgives error:

Invalid column name 'parameters_id'.

Since this is a machine with a limited amount of acccounts, I have no problem with it when someone wants to check or look at the DB.

I had the same error since update to 8.4 under windows 2003

I am not sure if anybody from parrallels is doing anything about it.IT's been a month since this thread is opened but there isn't even one message telling "we are working on it".

Waiting for service from parallels is how waiting for better weather...

Problem solved

Hello people

i have the same problem with the "'max_user_connections' active connections"
on plesk 8.4 Windows and i have resolve the problem

i have installed mysql administrator "www.mysql".com" it's free

When Mysql administrator is open:

Goto "health"
Then Goto connection tab "System Variables"
Than see you "connections" click that
When you change Max_user_connections to "0" then works the backup good here :D
have you questions? send me private message

I got this error too, i would like to know, why i have download a program from MySQL, if the problem is telling that the problem is with SQL SERVER?? How can i fix?
