Question Backup manager & symlinks

BigD213

New Pleskian
Does plesk "backup manager" follow symlinks and backup all of the data pointed to from the symlink?

It appears that the plesk "backup manager" backs up all files in the "httpdocs" dir.

My configuration is like this:

Plesk Obsidian
Version 18.0.24, last updated on Mar 9, 2020 03:20 AM
CentOS Linux 7.7.1908 (Core)‬

/var/www/vhosts is located on my /dev/sda1 drive. There are several files in the httpdocs dir of each website, there is also a symlink in each httpdocs dir that points to /dev/sdf/shared.
/dev/sdf/shared
is a separate drive.

/var/www/vhosts/example1.com/httpdocs/shared -> /dev/sdf/shared
/var/www/vhosts/example2.com/httpdocs/shared -> /dev/sdf/shared
/var/www/vhosts/example3.com/httpdocs/shared -> /dev/sdf/shared
/var/www/vhosts/example4.com/httpdocs/shared -> /dev/sdf/shared

I do not need the plesk "backup manager" to follow this symlink and make several backups of a shared drive that is already being backed up by other means.

How can I prevent plesk "backup manager" from backing up the contents of a symlink?
