• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Backup Problems

Hey guys - if anyone could help me with this that would be fantastic.

I'm running Plesk for Windows on a godaddy virtual dedicated server, and it seems that at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the time the automated backup fails.

Not only does it fail - but it takes all the running services with it, so all websites display 'service not available', all email accounts stop working, and I lose all access to the server; forcing me to perform a power cycle to once again gain remote desktop access and to restart the server.

Is there any way I can work out what's causing the fail through a log of some sort? Or is this a known problem with a solution?

Any help is appreciated.
