  • Support for BIND DNS has been removed from Plesk for Windows due to security and maintenance risks.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS.

Backup repository

New Pleskian
I noticed the difference between downloading a file via HTTP panel versus what is actually stored in the repository (one tar file versus a number of gz, tgz, and xml several folders deep).

My idea was to use aws-cli to sync this folder to S3 every day but that leads me to wonder how can I restore files back? Keeping the backups synchronized offsite seems a lot easier than other tutorials that include a local FTP repository.

If I put the old backup files into the repository after they're deleted by Plesk, will is automatically show that the backup is available to be restored from in the Backup Manager?
