• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Backup restore gives errors

Webroy

Regular Pleskian
Hi,

I am doing a test crash so i can restore a complete server what i did:

On server A

/usr/local/psa/bin/pleskbackup server --skip-logs --output-file=/home/backup/pleskbackup

With SCP i pushed the backup file to SERVER B

on server B i installed the same version of plesk and did:

./pleskrestore --restore backup/pleskbackup -verbose

But he gives a error:

Unable to find file '/usr/local/psa/bin/backup/pleskbackup

I moved the backup file to : /usr/local/psa/bin/backup/

But still he says not able to find file.

What am i doing wrong?

I have also tried this one :

But he keeps complaining:

./pleskrestore --restore backup/pleskbackup.tar -level server -verbose
Unable to find file '/usr/local/psa/bin/backup/pleskbackup.tar'

The file is there. I put the files to 777.

Anyone a idea?

Do you authorized under root login/passwd?
Try to use:
1)/usr/local/psa/bin/pleskbackup server --skip-logs --output-file=/home/backup/pleskbackup
2)/usr/local/psa/bin/pleskrestore --restore /home/backup/pleskbackup -verbose -level server
