Question Backup storage space

Thomas Oryon

Regular Pleskian
Hello Support,

If the user takes the backup under his plesk control will it consumes the server disk space or user account's disk space? Also, if we take the backup for the server, it will consumes the server disk space and not the user account disk space right?

Kindly confirm the above.

Awaiting your reply.

I am not quite sure I understand the question, but if you are asking whether a customer generated backup will take of the disk space allocated to the subscription, yes, it will. A system generated backup should not consume the user's space even if it contains data related to their subscription.

If a user takes a backup from their Plesk panel, it uses their account’s allocated disk space, while a full server backup consumes the server’s main disk space, so yes, your understanding is correct.
