• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Backup suspends the site?

Hello there,
The system is Suse 10.3 / Plesk 8.6.
One of the domains runs a backup to an FTP every day, at a certain hour.
Client complains that at certain hour, instead of website, there is the default Plesk page for 5-6 minutes.
I do not have the confirmation yet from him, but I have asked customer to test this, to run the backup and to watch the page. I think they are related.

I wanted to confirm with you, as I know that for Windows this is the normal behavior: to suspend the site during backup.
Is this the way is supposed to be? Site to be suspended while doing backup? If yes, is there any way where this can be changed?

Thanks so much,
BG
