You can change the permissions of a file using the "File Manager" link on the "Websites & Domains" tab.

Thanks for the answer, but it's still not clear. Specifically, for which file the permission should be edited, Websites & Domains>Files> httpdocs is all the WP installation files?

According to the previously quoted backup error message, the file is "slow.log" and located in your webspace (vhost) root directory. It must be readable by the subscription user and group psacln or psaserv.

Ok, found it, however editing permission is disabled. Current settings for the "slow.log" are "RW- --- ---" User:root, Group:root

Can you access the server through SSH? You could then run chmod 0644 slow.log to change the file permissions.

Yes, I can access the server through SSH, I just wanted to avoid that if possible by asking you for an alternative solution. Anyway, I'll try it that way. Thank you

For some reason, this doesn't seem to be working for me


-I did access the server via the Plesk "SSH Terminal" extension.

-Typed the following command:

# chmod 0644 /var/www/vhosts/website.com/httpdocs/vhost-save.conf

And this is what I've received as a result:

chmod: cannot access '/var/www/vhosts/website.com/httpdocs/vhost-save.conf': No such file or directory

In your above description, the filename wasn't vhost-save.conf, but slow.log.

If the command below is correct, inserting "slow.log" in it doesn't give any results either.

If I try to open the "slow.log" file stored inside the httpdocs folder keep receiving the following notifications:

When slow.log is located in /var/www/vhosts/website.com, your command must be "cmod 0644 /var/www/vhosts/website.com/slow.log", not "...httpdocs/slow.log".

You can try to add read permissions to the group, e.g.

chmod 0640 /var/www/vhosts/glamsty.com/httpdocs/vhost-saved.conf

That should already be sufficient.

Just wanted to say thanks I had the same issue with permissions on a conf file and this solved it for me.
