• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Backup without encryption is possibile?

PeopleInside

Regular Pleskian
Hi, first of all thank you very much to users and staff on this forum for all the help!
Plesk is amazing!

Today I'm asking if there is a way to schedule a backup of the server but not encrypted.
Encryption is good but if I need access some file on my PC or if one day I need migrate to another system I will be unable to do as the backup can be read only by Plesk.

There is some solution to manually create a backup with folders and database without have to do all manually site by site, database by database?
Thanks.

OK I figured out. The Plesk backup is not all encrypted but in one archive is possibile to find file and folders so, good.

JFYI: When you enable encryption for Plesk backup, not all files are encrypted, but only sensitive information such as logins and passwords are contained in them.
