Resolved Backupmanager - ftp server name invalid with underscore in name

Good morning,

when I try to set up in the backupmanager a ftp Backup Server with a underscore in the hostname i just get "Server name is invalid."

any Idea byside contact hosting partner to get the backupserver renamed...

Try to use IP address instead of hostname with underscore.

I had IP allready, thats was the reason why my Backup failed, because the Provider changed the IP of the Server, but as workaround of course it is valid. Nevertheless whats the reason in Plesk to not allow underscore in hostname?

As far as I remember underscore is not allowed in hostnames according to one of RFC document.
