backupmng: Unable to connect to Plesk Database

Hi,

i can login without problems into plesk, however when i ran

/opt/psa/admin/sbin/backupmng

i get the following error:

backupmng: Unable to connect to Plesk Database: Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Hello,

Please try to login your MySQL with the following command

mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow`

And if you are unable to login MySQL, You will have to change the admin password on your server, Please try to change it with the following KB artical details :

yes that works, no problem there.

is only backupmng that reports that problem

please see my previous post: the admin use WAS able to connect using cmd line.
the website works too.

Have you tried to reset the password of you admin user ? Please try to reset and check again
