- Server operating system version
- Ubuntu, CloudLinux, Debian, Almalinux, CentOS
- Plesk version and microupdate number
- Plesk
Hi, I would like your opinion. I am using Ubuntu on my servers, on my research CloudLinux shows up as the best performance.
Is it really worth the try or stick to Ubuntu? Or any other recommendations.
Are the performance optimizations of switching OS noticible? like switching from AMD EPYC to Intel Xeon Ice Lake
Server is fully managed.. Saw the following CloudLinux benefits on ChatGPT...
I have Imunify360, Hardened kernel already on the Ubuntus
Thank you for time, have a great day!

Benefits of Using CloudLinux with Plesk
1. Resource Allocation and Isolation:- LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment): CloudLinux uses LVE technology to allocate specific resources (CPU, RAM, IO) to each tenant, preventing any single tenant from monopolizing server resources. This ensures better stability and performance for high-traffic sites.
- CageFS: This feature provides a virtualized file system per user, enhancing security by isolating users and reducing the risk of cross-account attacks.
- Hardened Kernel: The CloudLinux kernel is enhanced with security patches and additional modules designed for shared hosting environments.
- Imunify360: This comprehensive security suite includes malware scanning, advanced firewall, WAF (Web Application Firewall), and proactive defense mechanisms.
- MySQL Governor: Monitors and limits the MySQL usage of specific users, ensuring fair resource distribution and optimal performance.
- OptimumCache and AccelerateWP: These tools help optimize website performance by caching frequently accessed data and providing automated WordPress optimization.
- Plesk Integration: CloudLinux is designed to work seamlessly with Plesk. You can easily convert your existing Plesk server to CloudLinux or set up a new server using a CloudLinux AMI.
- Flexible Licensing: CloudLinux offers various licenses such as Solo, Admin, Shared, and Shared Pro, which you can choose based on your hosting needs.
