• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question Best linux operating system for plesk

There is no single “best” Linux OS for Plesk.
The best choice is still the one you are comfortable with and that is supported by Plesk, but be aware that each distribution has its own limitations.

Plesk publishes distro-specific restrictions (PHP versions, MariaDB/MySQL support, extensions, etc.).
You really need to expand the lists per OS here and check them carefully:
System Requirements for Plesk Obsidian

Plesk unfortunately hides a lot of important details behind expandable sections, but those details matter when choosing your OS.

So: pick a distro you know well, then verify its limitations in the Plesk docs before installing.

Again, like what Maarten said, there's no single best Linux OS, it's more of personal preference and what you know. Like I, personal, prefer to use Debian but others likes to use a RHEL based Linux like AlmaLinux. So go with whatever you like to use. Just make sure to refer to the System Requirements for Plesk to see what limits is there.
