Better tools for remote backup repositories needed

If a transfer of a large backup set (let's say, 20GB in size) gets disrupted during transfer, the files sit in the server repository for the client. This requires manual intervention and the danger of running out of disk space. How about giving me some controls so the ftp can be restarted? Thanks!

Have you tried using WinSCP for automatic resume. WinSCP supports resuming file transfers with SFTP and FTP protocols. Btw check this url for more information http://winscp.net/eng/docs/resume#automatic

Not a client ftp resume, plesk itself

I'm not talking about a resume of the download of the backup container file; but rather instructing Plesk to resume a transfer that got aborted where Plesk itself was in charge of the transfer. Thanks
