  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Broken instance with php8

Graham Jones

New Pleskian
I have noticed that if I change the PHP version to 8.0 WordPress Toolkit reports the website as being broken (which it is not).

If I revert back to any other version of PHP such as 7.4.13 then WordPress Toolkit says the website is OK

It looks like there is some kind of bug with WordPress Toolkit and PHP 8

Unfortunately, WordPress Toolkit doesn't support websites on PHP 8 at the moment. We are working on supporting it, and it will be added in the next update of WordPress Toolkit.

Any ideas when we can expect WordPress Toolkit update? PHP8 is a nice performance boost for WordPress and it's a bit shame WordPress Toolkit doesn't support current PHP version which was released 4 months ago (November 2020)

Actually, WordPress Toolkit 5.3.x and later fully support PHP 8. Feel free to notify us if you are still experiencing any issues with the latest version of the WordPress Toolkit.
