• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Can ftp only on one virtual hostname

Hi,

we have a Plesk 8.3 with about 30 domains, and two IPs (one shared (25 domains) one exclusive (5 domains)

The problem is that the ftp accepts connections to only one of those 30. The other strange thing is that it won't accept ftp connections to any of those IP addresses also.

So, if I want to connect to the ftp of another domain, lets say domain Y, I would have to target X.com with Y's user name and password.

If I use Y.com, it will resolve the IP correctly (and in this case it is the same IP as X.com), and it would stay at that stage forever - it will not ask for user/pass. The ftp clients do not return any errors, and /var/log/messages do not say anything smart.

Also, when I go to ssh to the server and use ftp Y.com it will work, ask for user/pass and log in.

If anyone has a clue what may be happening here I appreciate any help!
