Issue Can not receive email in Plesk on Ubuntu on AlibabaCloud, port 25 is not active

srijonme

New Pleskian
I have a server running Plesk on Ubuntu(AlibabaCloud). The port 25 can not be opened from my account. I have tried applying for opening port 25 but it keeps giving an error 'not your asset' so lost all hope of opening it. Is there any way that I can send and receive emails from my server without any interruptions? If there is kindly give as much details as you can.

hello @srijonme

looks like port 25 is blocked by your hosting provider.
Plesk is able to use remote mail server that allows to relay mail messages.
on Ubuntu you will need to install component msmtp. Please have in view that your current MTA (postfix or qmail) - will be removed.

after you have msmtp installed you should provide appropriate user, host and password which will be used by Plesk for sending mail.
technically it should be enough.
later to prevent your emails marked as SPAM you will need to configure correct SPF DNS record.

Thank you very much for the reply. I have configured SendinBlue on the server and sent some emails but I can not receive any emails. Looks like I will have to open the port 25 otherwise there is no luck.
