• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Hello Guys,

I want to restore my backup file in plesk, when I backup 1 domain,it is successful. So there is no problem with that. But when I tried to restore it,it didn't work. There is an error:

The file C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\Backup\/xxxx.com/xxxx.com 10-01-09 is not a valid Plesk domain backup file.

I didn't get it,because I used the capabilities of plesk to backup, but it didn't work in restoration. So what is the sense of the backup capabilities of plesk?

Your response is highly appreciated.Thank you.

Hello,

Parallels Plesk Panel Backup/Restore functionality was redesigned in Plesk 9 version. Prior restoration data with use of an old backup file it is necessary to convert the backup file to the new format with the help of the follwoing utility:

"%plesk_bin%\pre9-backup-convert.exe" --source=<old backup file> --destination=<backup repository>

Please, see the following article for more information:

If you have already converted the backup, probably the reason of the issue is the backup containing invalid records that do not follow requirements of current Parallels Plesk Panel (PP). You may validate the backup according to Plesk schema and remove/replace incorrect records.

Please, see the following article for more information:

Thank you
