Thank you for your replay.

Unfortunately we still experience the problem. After Home > Tools & Settings > Updates and Upgrades we ge a screen with language-choice and admin username and password fields.
When we fill in the correct credentials the error message (Can't connect to backend: No such file or directory) comes up.

Hi kounitsyn,

consider to use the command:

plesk installer --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base

... and pls. report back afterwards, if the issue is gone. In case of further issues/errors/problems, pls. consider to use the "Plesk Repair Utility":

=> Plesk Repair Utility ( Plesk Onyx - online documentation - Administrator's Guide )

Example:

plesk repair installation -y -v

plesk repair all -y -v

Unfortunately the suggestions in the KB don't fix the problem.

Hi kounitsyn,

as an alternative, pls. consider now ( after your changes are done ), to call the Plesk installer again from the command line with the example command:

plesk installer --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base

... and let us know the output from the command line, including the new installer - log.

Hi kounitsyn,

I know that it might be strange for you, but due to the fact, that you experienced the issues AFTER an upgrade to Plesk Onyx, there must be an unfinished task for the upgrade and the whole upgrade - process wasn't successfully finished. That's why I recommend to use the COMMAND LINE, untill you can be sure, that all updates/upgrades are installed. Providing the outputs from your command at the command line and the corresponding log(s) might help to investigate your issue ( pls. keep in mind, that EACH autoinstaller - command will produce a NEW log. ;) ).

Hi kounitsyn,

I noticed some warnings in your log, which should be inspected by some Plesk - Team - Members ( as for example @IgorG ). Pls. wait for an answer from them and possible further suggestions. :)

I have checked this output file and found nothing suspicious there. If you mean "ez_template_suffix is NOT defined" warnings, they are related to case of Virtuozzo EZ templates and they are just warnings, but not errors.
Also, I would suggest you check existence and content of /root/.autoinstallerrc file.

Thank you for your reply. The content of that file is:

SSL_CIPHERS="HIGH:!aNULL:!MD5"
SSL_PROTOCOLS="TLSv1 TLSv1.1 TLSv1.2"

I often encounter this problem, almost for each Plesk update.
My only solution is to list pids (ps -x) then kill autoinstaller process(es).

I would appreciate a sustainable solution.
