• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Hi i'm having a problem where i cant upload files or make folders. I keep getting this error:

Error: Unable to create directory /httpdocs/player: filemng failed: mkdir: cannot create directory `/var/www/vhosts/gottavideo.com/httpdocs/player': Permission denied
filemng: Error occured during /bin/mkdir command.

I get this error when i am logged in ad the admin in plesk 8.2. I am the only user and i am the admin. I also tried using my ftp but it does nothing.

hi,

Check if the directory has correct permissions.
# ls -lad /var/www/vhosts/gottavideo.com/httpdocs/
drwxr-x--- 8 FTP_user_name psaserv 4096 Oct 28 17:48 /var/www/vhosts/gottavideo.com/httpdocs/

it says the permissions for httpdocs is: rwx r-x r-x . if This is incorrect i dont know how to change it.

it is strange. if you created directory under root account you should be able to create it anyway.

1) check it
#whoami
root

if you are not "root" - this is the reason )

2) Useful commands:
#chmod --help (to change rights)

#chown --help (to change user:group)
