• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
    With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Kind regards,

from the Netherlands

Hi Lexy,

Would you please help me?
We would love to help you, but first of all, this forum is an ENGLISH - only forum ( if you need to use screenshots in another language than english, how do you expect us to translate it? ) and second, you leave us totally in the dark with your investigations, as you anonymized all necessary informations, which would help to investigate your issues/errors/problems. :(

@Lexy,

If you want to, you can send me a private mail via conversations, so we can discuss your issue and potential solutions in Dutch.

Kind regards.........

Hi UFHH,

I am sorry. I am very cautious about our informations since we've been hacked last year. And about the language I can 't do anything about it. I tried to change the language on Plesk but couldn't. I am more than willing to give you more informations. If you guide me in english it is of course not a problem. I'll translate. If you need to know something about the Plesk menu in dutch, I'll translate. I'll join the main-tester with all the informations.Mail-Testerbis.jpg
Thank you in advance everyone!
Regards,

Lexy

@Lexy,

You are using the wrong SPF, you are sending through a relay or some kind of relay.

Just add to the SPF record

ip4:81.169.145.96

and the full SPF text would become "v=spf1 a mx ip4:85.214.228.50 ip4:81.169.145.96 ~all".

Note that it seems to be the case that you do not have any spf record at all, so add a DNS TXT record to your DNS records, in order to allow for SPF.

It can be the case that you still will have problems afterwards, but that is very likely to be related to the relay setup.

Let's try this first and let me know what happens!

Regards.........

Hi Lexy,

pls. correct missing DNS - records, as for example "dmarc" and "SPF" - TXT - entries ( pls. see as well: => esigwereld.nl Domain Health ) Pls. note, that your rented server from Strato might not be your initial nameserver for your FQDN, so pls. consider to set the same DNS - entries which you are able to see at your Plesk Control Panel ( => HOME > DOMAINS > YOUR-DOMAIN.COM > DNS Settings ), at the Control Panel of your domain registrar.

In addition, pls. note, that your public informations about your FQDN is nothing which you are able to hide, as these informations are available over "whois" and/or over worldwide nameservers. ;)

Hi Lexy,

first, pls. make sure, that the needed packages are installed on your server:

=> HOME > Updates and Upgrades > Add/Remove Components:

Plesk_Onyx_Bind-DNS-Server.png

Afterwards, pls. make sure that the service is running:

=> HOME > Tools & Settings > Services Management:

Plesk_Onyx_Tools-Settings_Services-Managements_Bind.png

Pls. check now your depending service/hosting-plans settings:

=> HOME > Service Plans > YOUR-SERVICE-PLAN-NAME

Plesk_Onyx_Subscriptions_Bind-DNS-Server.png

Got it! Thank you UFHH01. I have now access to my DNS settings! Thank you again.
Have a nice day/evening further. I'll make some changes an hopefully it will work.
Greatings

@Lexy

Your spf is now

esigwereld.nl. 150 IN TXT "v=spf1 a mx ip4:85.214.228.50 ip4:81.169.145.96 ~all"

So, it should be fine.

However, test the setup by sending yourself a mail and check whether you receive it and/or whether you get the same error notifications as before.

Regards..........

@Lexy

I stand corrected: you should remove one of the two SPF records, preferably the additional record that I have suggested.

Nevertheless, it is a nexus of issues that should be dealt with, as I already told you in our private conversation.

Have a look at the results of a (rather standard) test: see attachment.

Have a close look at: Warning - Does not support TLS.

So, instead of focussing on various non-related issues, one should focus on the most important symptom: TLS related issues.

The latter can have a lot of different "root causes" and associated issues.

In essence, one can only find the factual root cause of the problem by allowing for TLS in the mail server.

Note that you had a hack...............but it is ODD that you do not have any basic and primal security in the form of secured TLS negotiations.

Good luck!

Hi Lexy,

pls. note as well, that you have currently:
Code:
Relaying denied
... as an additional issue/error/problem. As this in an indication of a misconfigured mail - server configuration, pls. add your configuration files as attachments for further investigations and recommendations. In addition, it could help to inspect your "mail.log".
