can't remove an IP address in plesk

I'm running plesk 8.2.1 ontop of virutozzo. At some point I added the IP address 10.2.1.4 to the plesk install, and now I can't get rid of it.

I've tried removing 10.2.1.4 with the virutozzo tools, and then removing it from plesk, and I get permission denied. I've tried adding 10.2.1.4 with the virtuozzo tools, and then removing it frmo plesk, and I get permission denied.

I need to remove it because the watchdog monitoring thinks the apache services isn't running when it tried to check it by connecting to 10.2.1.4.

Can anyone suggest how I can make plesk forget about this IP address, or which logs I should go looking through to find out why it says permission denied when trying to remove it?

Thanks
