Can't rename or delete a domain

I've got a client who recently wanted to merge two of their sites into one. Basically A.com and B.com get merged into A.com. Part of this involved deleting one of their accounts (B.com) and adding the domain name as an alias to the other (A.com).

The problem is I can't delete the old domain (B.com). If I try, I get the error message below. Likewise I can't even rename the old domain (B.com to C.com) as a work around. I've even tried manually deleting everything via Windows directly but Plesk still thinks the old (B.com) domain is still active. Likewise running the Plesk reconfigurator didn't help either. Actually that made things worse. Five of my clients had to reset their mail passwords after running that. So i'm a bit gunshy about running it again.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm stumped.

Go to command prompt , enter in bin at plesk / admin

and run the command

mchk.exe --domain --domain-name=domainwithproblem.com

Thanks, that did the trick. But now I've got a new issue. I can't ADD ANY accounts.

Failed user domain creation: Unable to update domain data. Unable to create dumps directory: The system cannot find the path specified. (error code 3) at createDirectory(D:\Plesk\Domain.com).

I should note that my plesk install is on my C drive, not my D drive. So I have no idea why it's attempting to write there. This is a new issue that happened directly after running that command line script.

Issue was fixed via a registry edit.

Of course someone will have the same problem ( read plesk bugs ), and you will help we or they.

Sadly I didn't make the fixes since I could not find the registry key in question. It was done directly by support. If I fins out, I'll post it here.
