Same problem

I have the same problem. Can you write your solution ?

Thanks

check your permissons on /usr/local/psa/version ...should be 644 ...

I had the same problem and now it's fixed.

I am getting the same error, but I don't have the file /usr/local/psa/version

Which Operating System are you running?

My 'version' file's content is '8.0.1 CentOS 4.2 80061018.17'

I have seen psa installed in different directories before (/opt for one). Try this:

grep PRODUCT_ROOT_D /etc/psa/psa.conf

It should give you output similar to the following:
PRODUCT_ROOT_D /usr/local/psa

Look in the directory that is output (in the example above, it's /usr/local/psa), there should be a version file. If there isn't, create it. For the contents of the file, it should be something along the lines of:

8.0.1 FedoraCore 4 80060613.20

To determine what to put in your file, you can find out what version of the psa rpm is installed:

rpm -qa | grep psa-8

On my system, the above outputs the following:

psa-8.0.1-fc4.build80060613.20

So, the contents of the file then are:

8.0.1 FedoraCore 4 80060613.20

Which is all pieced together from the rpm version.
