• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue Cant start upgrade to "Plesk Onyx 17.5.3"

New Pleskian
Hi there,

Since a while already, Plesk is offering me to upgrade to the version 17.5.3 of Onyx.

However, whenever I try to click on that link:

https://website.com/8443/admin/update/product

It keeps loading and loading and then runs into a timeout.
I read already in the internet, that the plesk update manager process should be killed manually. I did that already, but it didnt help me to fix the issue.

Does anybody have an idea how to resolve this issue and update my plesk to the latest version?

P.S. btw, some updates seem to run automatically. For example " Plesk Onyx 17.0.17 Update Nr. 28" was installed by the end of June automatically from the system.

Thanks,
Tom

Make sure that port 8447 is not firewalled on your server. Or just perform upgrade with following command in CLI:

# plesk installer

Run it and follow instruction.
