  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Can't sync with service plan

Futureweb OG

New Pleskian
PRODUCT, VERSION, OPERATING SYSTEM, ARCHITECTURE:
  • Plesk Onyx v17.0.17_build1700161028.14 os_CentOS 6
  • CentOS 6.8 (Final)
  • x64
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
You can't sync a service plan as reseller, if the main service plan has some features disabled, which are enabled at a resellers domain.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1.) Add a reseller
2.) Add a service plan with f.e. permission "Java applications management" enabled
3.) Add a subscription to the recently added reseller
5.) Add a domain and select the added subscription
6.) The permission "Java applications management" is now enabled for this domain
7.) Enter a subscription and change a permission, so that the service plan isn't synced anymore.
7.) Go back and remove the permission "Java applications management" at the global service plan (as admin)
8.) If you login as reseller again, you can see that the subscription is not synced.
9.) Click on the subscription
10.) Click on "Unlock & sync" at the right side and click "OK"
11.) The subscription is still locked and unsynced, because the setting "Java applications management" isn't checked any longer at the global service plan.

ACTUAL RESULT
You can't get the subscription synced again. Only if you login as admin and enable the permission at the global service plan. If you login as reseller again and press "unlock & sync", it does work.

EXPECTED RESULT
Remove the permission from each subscription which got this service plan assigned. Otherwise you have to manually remove it at every reseller subscription to get the service plan unlocked and synced again.

Thanks and regards

Thank you for report. I have forwarded it to developers for the further investigation.

BTW, executing

# /usr/local/psa/bin/subscription --sync-subscription sub.tld

do the trick and subscription becomes synchronized.
