CentOS Update - How to?

I will update my system with yum. Is there any packages that i have to exclude like openssl, courier, apache, perl, anything else or is it safe to go on?

I'm using Centos 4.x and Plesk 8.3
 
You should be able to do a full 'yum update'. Plesk uses the packages of your Linux distribution, so you should update them all.
